Follow these steps to setup your POP3 email account on your Android phone using the IMAP protocol. If you still have issues after having followed this guide, please contact us.

Prerequisites

The following are required in order to carry out a successful setup - Your password was provided to you by Nextgen Technology, when you signed up. The mail server details are:

• IMAP Incoming mail sever details:
  • Mail server - mail.yourdomain.com
  • Email address
  • Password for email address
  • Port number - 993
• Outgoing mail sever details:
  • Mail server host - mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port number - 465

Setup New IMAP Email Account

• On your phone, open the native email app and select the option to setup a POP3/IMAP email account
• Enter your email address and corresponding password for the email account
• Then click on Manual Setup or Next to continue
• Select IMAP account as the protocol
• On the next screen:
  • Enter your email address into the Username field
  • Enter in your password
  • Enter in the IMAP incoming server obtained from the prerequisites section
  • Select SSL as the Security Type
  • Change the port to 993
  • As the IMAP path prefix, enter in INBOX
• Click Next
• On the next screen:
  • Enter in the SMTP outgoing server obtained from the prerequisites section in the SMTP server field
  • Select SSL as the Security Type
  • Change the port to 465
  • Ensure the Require sign-in box is checked
  • Enter your email address into the Username field
  • Enter in your password
• Click Next to complete the setup
